It is usually a bad idea to hire a lawyer on a flat fee unless it is a pretty straightforward case. I hire her on a straight forward case at the recommendation of Legal Shield. I was going trhough divorce and already had an agreement in place. As it happens, the case got delayed several times so t...he paperwork had to be updated. Sabrina had the "good" sense to claim that now the case had shifted to contested because we were changing terms. So basically, to her the only reason she was hired was to show up and sign paperwork. She demanded another fee so I parted ways with her after paying the flat rate and having her do practically nothing. My next attorney did more and agreed this was not a contested case. Sabrina just wanted to gouge more fees. I'd stay away from her.

I was directed to her by LegalShield, and we spoke on the phone on a Friday. She gave me the impression that she was going to work with me, and she said she would email me a link to an important website on the following weekend, so I could get an audio transcript of a court hearing. She never sent th...e link, never communicated with me, and never explained or communicated anything. I left her a message in the next week, asking about the link, but she did not respect me enough to even reply. She did not respect me or LegalShield. She wasted a week of our time. I then emailed her, notifying her that I was getting a new lawyer, and all she said in response was "I wish you the best." There was no apology for wasting a week of my time, and of not fulfilling her promise to email me an important link to a website. This woman did not respect me or LegalShield. Her conduct reflects poorly on LegalShield, because she was incompetent and inconsiderate. She should not have given me the impression that she was going to work with me when we spoke on the phone, and then totally fail to communicate -- and then fail to explain herself or to offer any apology. This is all together highly inappropriate, inconsiderate and unprofessional.
