I hired Mike Turner to represent my son in Southeastern Ma. He is constantly facing health issues and has serious memory issues. He showed up with information of another student in my file and he also started talking about irrelevant issues at a meeting which caused a lot of tension between my fami...ly and the District. He comes across real knowledgeable but it is his staff who deals with everything. Through my entire experience working with him, he cancelled 3 meetings due to serious health issues and said he would be out for a few weeks. Then I found out it was eye surgery and he was at another meeting for the District on a family friend of ours. He never told the truth and exaggerates. He always says he will call you back tonight or over the weekend, and I always had to chase him down.

I hired Michael Turner to take my son’s case. I live in the City Of New Bedford. He never returns phone calls and has an initial consult and lies through the whole thing. He tells you what he can do and then two weeks later tells you something completely different as if you never sat down with him. I...n our final meeting a year ago, he had notes in front of him and we lost him five times in a conversation and as the year went by, he seemed to show serious signs of dimentia. His paralegal covered up for him every time we complained and she ended up resolving our case and getting our money back. After we hired him, two weeks later he told us he had bad cancer and needed surgery and that the prognosis doesn’t look good. Another family in the City said they worked with him and he is a liar because he was at a meeting with them and told their lawyer it wasn’t cancer but he is tired. This all transpired within two weeks apart. He did give me a retainer back. He is the nicest guy in the world and very smart. He just doesn’t seem to have the mental capacity to handle cases anymore and is very distracted. This was the reason why we discharged him. Since then he has resolved two other cases for people we know.

I engaged Michael Turner six months ago to represent my disabled son. He is completely unresponsive and has made no progress on our case. He failed to issue a contract for the retainer and, in general, is the most unprofessional attorney I have ever encountered. I can't believe he is still a membe...r of the bar.
