Crissa is an associate attorney and mediator at Michael I. Flores, PC. She works with clients in all aspects of domestic relations litigation, including divorce, custody, support, alimony, asset division, removals, contempts, and modifications. In addition, Crissa is a trained mediator and offers mediation services for parties in domestic relations matters. Prior to joining the firm, Crissa worked as a judicial law clerk for the justices of the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court in the Barnstable, Bristol, Middlesex, and Plymouth divisions. As a law clerk, she assisted the judges with high-quality legal research and writing for complex domestic relations, probate, and equity matters.
A 2014 graduate of New England Law | Boston, Crissa was a recipient of the Sandra Day O’Connor merit scholarship. She was a judicial intern at the Middlesex Probate and Family Court and at the Administrative Office of the Probate and Family Court, and she worked at a small civil litigation firm in Boston. Prior to law school, Crissa served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at a non-profit in Boston. She earned her B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in History, from Providence College, where she was a member of the Liberal Arts Honors Program.
Crissa is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Women’s Bar Association, Barnstable County Bar Association, Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation, and Cape Cod Young Professionals. She is the Vice-Chair of the Family Law Section Council for the MBA and serves on the Executive Committee for the BCBA, is the Treasurer of the BCBA for the 2022-2023 association year, and is the former Chair of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the BCBA. Crissa was a co-chair for the 2021 MBA Family Law Conference, and she has chaired, moderated, and participated in panels for the MBA and BCBA. She was named to the 2021 Cape & Plymouth Business 40 Under 40 Awards list and has been recognized as a Massachusetts Rising Star by Super Lawyers (2019, 2020, 2021). Crissa is admitted to practice in Massachusetts.
