During a productive initial consultation with the attorney I was repeatedly reminded that "henceforth all communications, verbal or written, are to be considered confidential." She advised me that she would be forwarding paperwork advising costs, timeframes, etc. for signature and retainer fee. My s...ituation was timely. More than a month passed and ALL attempts to contact her went unanswered. I did not want to retain another lawyer if she was to represent me. I asked a mutual acquaintance to get involved and he came back to me advising that Attorney Batchhelder would not represent me because of "certain" bad acts committed by myself. And, supposedly, this was disclosed during our consult. Not so, and what bad acts? To my friend, another attorney, I have been defamed.... and my principles now questioned.
