Hired Cal after the first lawyer I hired was an absolute disaster and I couldn't have been happier with my decision to switch. Divorce is an incredibly taxing experience and the right counsel is key to seeing through the fog of battle. Cal is smart, experienced, level headed, respectful and steadily forceful. He avoids the emotional traps and sticks to the end game without wasting your or his time. Most notably, he is well... respected by the judge and other attorneys.

My divorce was unnecessarily long, drawn out and costly out over an excruciating 4 years. My ex is problematic; he is unreasonable and unwilling to negotiate. He was not equatable or fair with me before, during or after our divorce. As soon as he “legally” could, without merit, he sued me for modifi...cation/termination of support. Because of a conflict with the firm I had used for the divorce and the firm my ex had retained for the complaint, I was referred to Cal Heinle. This difficult man now became Cal’s problem, and if anyone was up for the task is was Cal. Throughout the whole ordeal Cal was kind, thorough and understanding. He was patient with me, explaining the steps along the way and giving me the reassurance I needed to emotionally handle the very tough circumstances. The outcome of that case was as it should have been, and Cal did a terrific job. Unfortunately as these things go, we will be heading back in to court within the next few months on a related but different issue. The facts of this case are very clear and all I need once again is someone who is able to handle dealing with the bully who thinks he can wear me down so I just go away. Cal began attempts to settle this matter over year ago and has done everything I have asked in an endeavor to prompt my former spouse to comply with the terms of our divorce agreement. When faced with someone who knows all of the rules, but simply refuses play by them, Cal is the one I want on my side. If you are seeking an attorney who looks out for your best interest and is willing to actually listen to your worries during extraordinarily rough times Cal is the right choice for you.

Using him as a parent co-ordinator. Takes a long time to make simple decisions and encourages protracted discussions resulting in overuse of his services. Have observed some bias towards my ex, to the point of me contacting my old attorney and him reminding Heinle of his need to be unbiased; he quick...ly backed down. Strikes me as inexperienced, trying to play "Mr Nice Guy" but coming across as two-faced, instead of being rational and objective. You could do better than hiring Heinle.
