Mark Paul Viana

Mark Viana is a partner at Mitcheson Viana LLP. Mark is a Portuguese and Spanish speaking attorney practicing corporate law, litigation, personal injury, and bankruptcy. Mark advises clients on the best solutions to complex business issues as well as personal injury. He has worked to provide client-specific solutions to problems arising in the creation and growth of new business enterprises. He believes that people are entitled to vigorous and thoughtful representation.

Mark earned his law degree at the Northeastern University School of Law. He also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History at Boston College and a Master of Arts in Portuguese and Brazilian Studies at Brown University. Prior to starting Mitcheson Viana LLP, Mark was an associate at William Maaia and Associates and focused primarily on telecommunication work such as retransmission consent agreements. Mark also worked as a judicial intern with the Honorable Joan N. Feeney of the United States Bankruptcy Court - District of Massachusetts and as an intern with the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

In addition to law, Mark has provided foreign language consulting services in the to telecommunications giant Nuance Communications and in the management consulting areas. Mark is fluent Portuguese, Spanish and French and has extensive travel and cultural experience in countries such as Brazil, Portugal, Spain, and France. In addition he has close ties with the Portuguese-speaking communities of in Boston and surrounding suburbs of Framingham, Woburn, Sommerville, Cambridge and Watertown. He is admitted to practice law in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island and is a member of the Boston Bar Association.
