Both of my parents passed away within months of each other. My dad suddenly, and my mother was a long slow decline (alzheimers related dementia). With my father gone, I struggled to make sense of all of all of the legal aspects of their estate. Between no original copies of their wills, and no formal... set up of their estate, I was totally lost. Within days of contacting Mark, I was on a track of what I needed to do to get all of my issue resolved. I had a path that i needed to follow. He was calm, clear, and concise with exactly what i needed to acquire from where, and if he didn't have a 100% sure answer, he was back in contact with me within hours of our original discussion, with the exact answer I needed. Mark was easily one of the most accessible lawyers I have ever worked with. If he was unable to speak to me when I called, he always made his follow up call almost to the minute of when he said he would contact me back. I never felt like I was not a priority for him. And hand in hand with my above point, anything legal will run you through the wringer, mentally as well as emotionally. I know on more than one occasion, I called him in some state of panic and anxiety. Mark , in a very simple way to put it, totally talked me off the ledge. He was a very sympathetic listener and had a very intuitive mind that figured out what I was looking to have done - in between all of my confused, uninformed, emotional ramblings. His demeanor while stating (and in my panicked mind,RE-stating) the facts and results and expectations of my situations ALWAYS put my mind at ease. Mark tells it strait, and factual but in a way that you know where to dot your Is and cross your Ts, to get the result that you need. Even when it was just ANOTHER follow up call from me to RE-confirm that "THIS" is all normal- he always spoke to me calmly and never annoyed, never condescending as some lawyers have a tendency to do. All of my issues were resolved and my results were exactly what mark informed me that they would be. In pretty much the timely manner he said they would be. I seriously can not recommend Mark Cotton enough. He made one of he most stressful, emotionally wracking times of my life SO much easier with his knowledge and demeanor.

I sought Mark's legal advice after leaving a contentious situation last spring. Through his counseling, I was able to know and understand my options clearly. Though I decided not to pursue legal action, Mark's counsel was invaluable, and I would certainly return to him again if I ever have the need. ...I would highly recommend him to anyone needing a lawyer who actually listens to their issue, and doesn't want to feel like just another case file.
