Attorney Herb Friedman handled the re-adoption of our son and another situation we were looking into. He is truly the best of the best in the adoption field and went above and beyond to make sure all i's were dotted and all the t's were crossed. We felt at peace at all times knowing he was takin...g care of every detailed of what could have become a complex process. He provided excellent and friendly service, and made sure we understood each step by keeping us updated of the process and providing us copies of all correspodence. He also reached out to other professionals that needed to provide feedback on the other situation we were pursuing. We would love to work again with him on a future sibling for our two sons . When it comes to the future of your children, you don’t want just anyone to handle your legal matters, you want the best and that is Attorney Herb Friedman.

The process of finalization was probably the easiest part of our adoption. For us, the form was just a few blanks to fill in then sign. The state officials were super helpful. I don't see why anyone savvy enough to navigate a successful adoption needs a lawyer for this last step. Mr Friedman argu...ed otherwise, and he told us horror stories to sell us on legal representation, paternity tests (regardless of the situation), and filing forms/payments through his office. Our baby had very particular physical features of the birth-father that even the hospital staff remarked upon. There was no question in anyone's minds, yet Mr. Friedman insisted upon paternity tests. I felt he was far too insistent; basically pushy. I didn't appreciate his somewhat condescending attitude and description of extremely unlikely scenarios (scare tactics) in response to my resistance. I think a more appropriate response would have been to explain the pros/cons, let me decide, then move on to the next step. I've worked with dozens of lawyers for various business and personal needs. This one was much more pushy than most. And I did not feel he had a realistic approach to cost vs. risk. I do not recommend Mr. Friedman.
