Robin Gorenberg expertly guided my husband and me through the complex process of estate planning from start to finish. She suggested documents for us to consider based on our situation, answered our questions in language we could understand and made thoughtful suggestions if she thought we were over...looking anything. Her work was thorough and completed in a timely manner. Her fees, which were based on the documents we choose, were provided at the outset and this was very helpful as we could anticipate the cost of estate planning. For years, my husband and I had been putting off preparing our estate plan (EP) partly out of concerns over our unfamiliarity with the legal procedure, amount of time it would take to pull together the requirements and the challenges of finding the right lawyer. We finally decided to bite the bullet... and picked out Robin's name from the internet after reading a couple of reviews. All my earlier fears about selecting a lawyer off the net instead of through personal referrals was put totally to rest at our first meeting with Robin. She was a thorough professional and yet very approachable. We had an initial phone meeting followed by a face to face with her. During both those meetings, she provided a clear overview of the estate planning process and spelt out our various options and the pros and cons of each. At the same time, she was careful to never steer us towards one option over the other but gave us the time to mull over the information provided and make our decision based on our circumstance and need. Following the two meetings, all our communications were through emails. Her responses were very prompt and thorough. She answered all of our questions patiently and worked closely with us and in a timely fashion through several rounds of reviews and updates to the various EP documents till they were finalized. She was extremely knowledgeable about the laws (both federal and state) governing trusts, wills, Power of Attorney, probate and demystified the legalese for us. Her fees were reasonable and there were no hidden costs. The full fee structure was explained very clearly prior to signing up with her. Robin was very personable and easy to interact with. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to others who require similar services. I know where to go if/when I need to update my EP or for any other related service.
