Biography
My practice includes a number of interrelated areas. My real estate, probate, estate planning and tax experience and expertise assist me in my work with divorcing clients. I have developed an area of mediation in my practice ("mediation to stay married" or "marital mediation" that uses mediation skills to assist couples who are experiencing difficulty in their marriage. Most of my work is non-court related, including negotiated divorces, collaborative divorces and mediations. I work with a great team of people in my firm -- 3 other lawyers and a paralegal. In the past few years I have started writing articles -- on marriage, divorce, mediation, and other topics. They are located on the articles page of my website and are a good start in addressing your issues and getting to know me and my firm.

Laurie is the best divorce lawyer around
Laurie Israel handled my divorce. She is absolutely the best. She handled my case with great sensitivity, but also with great powers of negotiation. The settlement agreement ended up being pretty much what we initially proposed. I cannot recommend her more highly.
