Grew not to trust her

I used Sheila for an accident case I had and found her to be unprepared, and she pretty much blew the case for me by not preparing for the personal injury case at all - i had to tell her facts on the defendant who hit me that she should have known. She never once told me to get or have certain test d...one regarding the physical impact the accident had on my body and hence when insurance people asked for test to back up my claim we had none ! Avoid at all cost is my advice.

Horrible

I found Sheila to abrasive, ineffective and toxic as a lawyer and I would not recommend anyone use her in any case of family law. I found her tactics and strategy disgusting, her behavior gross and ultimately unsuccessful.

Love her!!!!!

I don't know where to begin. When we came to this firm we were very discouraged that we would find someone who would take us seriously and treat us like we mattered. From the moment we started working with them I KNEW Ms. Sheila and her team were sent from God. I prayed and he answered!!! She got rig...ht on my case, she moved faster in two months that my previous attorney had in almost a year. Whenever we would needed to talk with them, they were available if they weren't they always called back. I know they have many cases but I didn't feel like I was a number. I have gotten to the point to where I shared our lives with her. I would send her pictures of my daughter in ballet, our vacation to Alaska and any updates in our lives. And she is always appreciative of that. She has even been my inspiration to follow my life long goal of being an attorney myself and she has been a great support system as I prepare for law school. My case is still ongoing and I periodically I get updates via email about what's going on. And if I haven't heard from her I am always encouraged to give her a call and ask. She is so nice and receptive to my questions and I don't feel like I'm a burden. Before my deposition I was so afraid and worried about the doctor's attorney but she came to GA and we met the night before and we reviewed what would happen the next day. The day of the deposition it felt amazing to have her on my side and she was ready to jump on that attorney at any time she stepped out of line!! I felt so empowered when I left that day. I could go on and on but I want everyone to know that Ms. Sheila has been one of the greatest decisions I've made in the past 4 years and I am so grateful to God that she is on my team. I am eager to finish this case but in the meantime I am so glad she came into our lives. I hope this helps someone....and I didn't get any incentive to say this, this really came from my heart.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
