Hired Atty Schonland to fight a traffic ticket where the State Trooper charged me with 3 different violations -- speeding, improper lane change, and improper passing. I was doing about 90. I paid my fee by credit card online, and heard nothing at all other than the attorney would be there for th...e hearing. I was sweating, but he showed up. His appearance wasn't that polished, but what a great advocate! He obviously knew what he was doing -- said he had represented truckers consistently in vehicle matters. State cops were not about to let any of the charges go until the Atty started saying that we'd appeal, and that I had a witness that would testify that I wasn't speeding (my girlfriend was in the car) and he questioned the radar gun. He was very impressive. They dropped 2 of 3 charges, and reduced the speeding to the minimum speeding ticket. Well worth having him there and I'd hire him again for matters like this.

Atty. Schonland provided me with defense of a speeding ticket. From the initial phone conversation it was clear that Atty. Schonland is knowledgeable and experienced with the law for this area. Atty. Schonland represented me at the clerk magistrate’s hearing and had a well prepared motion that refere...nced the facts and the law. The magistrate found against me but Atty. Schonland made all of the necessary arguments and it was clear that nothing would have convinced the magistrate that it was even possible I was not guilty. Atty. Schonland explained the pros and cons of the appeal to me and even encouraged me to settle, which of course would have meant less business for him. I decided to appeal. Atty. Schonland brought the motion to the appeal which was based on the facts and a little known law that he was aware of called the “No fix” law. The judge had no choice but to either grant the motion Atty. Schonland had prepared or ignore the law. Our motion was granted and thus I am in the clear. The outcome is that there is no fine and no points on my driving record. I am very pleased with Atty. Schonland.
