Kristin Marie Gaynor

I met with Kristin Gaynor to discuss a real estate concern and my interest in bringing a suit against the real estate company, two homeowners and possibly the inspector of the home. The consultation lasted over two hours. At the consultation meeting, she led me to believe that I had a case and I ul...timately signed a contract to which read: review of paperwork and demand letters will be written to the people I had interest in bringing a suit towards. Several days thereafter she contact me to inform me she reviewed the information shared and that she was almost finished writing all of the demands letters but would not send unless I paid the retainer first. A very similar email was sent out by attorney gaynor in which she wrote she will "I will have all 4 letters sent out by that end of the day, I just need to review for content." As a result, I brought in the retainer fee. However, what was suppose to be letters sent out turned into I need to have a senior partner from the office review the letters, which then turned into I don't think you have a case, into a back and forth between myself and the attorney in which she ultimately removed herself from my case and refused to reimburse the retainer fee. In my opinion she was extremely deceptive in her practice, is an inexperienced attorney and I would not recommend anyone hiring her due to her misleading disposition. I hope to have some downtime to bring the issue to small claims and pursue a formal complaint with the bar association.
