My mother hired him in a divorce settlement. He actually sided with my father, stating he(my father) was entitled to the 50,000 he was suing my mother for!!!! I wanted to punch this fat loser in the throat!!. I located another lawyer, but whiting wanted his $800.00 for doing absolutely nothing.strang...e code of ethics among these lawyers,my lawyer told us to pay the loser before we could continue.happy ending though,we kept the house my old man wanted 1/2 for. STAY AWAY

I wrote a check for his services regarding a settlement of a deceased relative. We agreed on what would be covered for the amount paid. I didn't hear from him for months. He didn't do what he could have and I had to do footwork myself, including getting information from this website and going to t...he courthouse. Over a year and a half later, I told him my dissatisfaction in his lack of action. I then received an email, stating a phone call and two meetings we had as earning his pay, and he would then start charging me by the hour. He never told me this before the call or short meetings. I was asking for simple things that should have been done in a timely manner, and paid more than enough to cover this.
