Fair and honest

I read the other review on this site and have to respectfully disagree. Mr. Healey helped me above and beyond any amount of money that he received, in fact he ultimately ended up working at a loss for me but he never made me feel bad about it. His office was very pleasant to deal with it and his as...sistant made it clear that he is a busy man so if I wanted to speak with him I had to schedule a time which I was able to do easily. His office always called me back and kept me informed. While Mr. Healey didn't help me with a criminal case, I referred my cousin to him (who paid out of pocket) AND I know another friend who was appointed Mr. Healey. The prior reviewer is full of it, Mr. Healey isn't working for money, neither does he have an agenda. Both my cousin and friend (and myself!) received the same quality service for three very different cases. I highly recommend him.

Worst lawyer ever

Apparently he doesnt talk to clients on the phone, doesnt talk to me before or after court, just keeps asking for another date. Now im going to trial for a bull case, that ive talked to other lawyers about and said that it should have been thrown out. Now im looking at up to a 2yr sentence when im co...completely innocent and have all the proof and so does his P.I. I swear hes just in for the money or is working with the D.A or looking for promotion. I just had a baby and are dealing with alot of family issues, ive stayed outta trouble the whole year this bull case has been dragged out for and now in a couple months i go to trial, but have still yet to talk to him about whats gonna happen, ive never even been to his office or talked to him on phone. Apparently you can only talk to his secretary, but even at court he just says hi or just smiles thats it. Its bull im trying to hire a different lawyer asap but money is tight with a.new baby and i only work pt and my gf is currently unemployed. If not i could be facing 2yrs for nothing. DONT EVER HIRE THIS MAN!!!! HES IN IT JUST FOR THE MONEY AND I WOULDNT BE SURPRISED IF HES WORKING FOR D.A OR TRYING.FOR PROMOTION. SCUMBAG LAWYER SAVE YOUR MONEY, YOUR BETTER OFF REPRESENTING YOURSELF.

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
