Kathryn Cochrane Murphy

I have extensive experience in every aspect of commercial real estate transactions. Representing developers, business and non-profit owners, governmental agencies and institutional lenders in acquisitions, dispositions, permitting, financings, design and construction contracts, procurement matters, leasing, ground leases, and condominium matters. I have frequently structured and carried out the legal aspects of complex, mixed-use developments, including the drafting and negotiation of development agreements and land disposition agreements on behalf of institutional and governmental land owners. I also represent banks and other lenders in connection with construction and permanent financings and has handled foreclosures, workouts and note purchases and sales for a national bank.

My practice includes a special interest and experience in representing educational institutions in connection with real estate, permitting and procurement matters. I advised governmental agencies on development projects and design and construction contracts, and has drafted new ordinances and statutory provisions for governmental units and businesses.
