Dino M Colucci

Dino represented me in a complex civil business litigation matter that was settled recently. I highly recommend retaining him if you require his services or just legal advice. I regard Attorney Dino Colucci as an expert in personal injury law and one of the best lawyers that I have known in 27 years of practicing law in Massachusetts. Over those years, I have referred many clients to Dino who have been involved in serious accidents. Dino Colucci misrepresented his qualifications as to his knowledge of probate matters when I retained him on a contingent basis. Colucci is a primarily personal injury attorney and again, misrepresented his knowledge of probate matters. Colucci took on this case and refused to keep me reasonably inf...ormed as to the status of my case, gave me knowingly false legal advice regarding my case and failed to take action to stop the sale of my Father's residence and have me appointed as the Administrator of my Fathers' estate as he promised in writing to do. His failure and refusal to do so, despite my repeated and continues pleas to do so, resulted in the probably loss of over $100,000 in my recovery as the Agent for a preferred creditor of the estate. It took Colucci over one year to send my file after my repeated and continual requests to do so, and when he did sent it, it was missing documents I'm sure were intentionally or knowingly omitted. There are letters from opposing counsel to Colucci stating they had been trying to contact him for a period of over two months and he refused to return their calls/communications and as a result, opposing counsel threatened to file with the probate court the estate was insolvent. Colucci advised me to agree to settle for a specific amount and I signed the settlement agreement for that amount, however, Colucci accepted less that what I settled for and refused to enforce and/or prosecute the settlement agreement which resulted in the further loss to me of approximately $3000. Colucci did little work on the case and I was in the position of having to instruct him in the procedures and probate laws of Massachusetts. In fact, Colucci filed a wholly false and inaccurate petition in superior court in suing the estate and I had to correct him and advise him the entire petition/complaint was factually insufficient and false. Colucci in my opinion engages in deceptive practices in that his website states his firm is competent in probate matters when he is in fact NOT. Colucci further issued payment of the settlement amount to a person who was not part of the lawsuit against the estate. Colucci took her on as a contingent client for according the the agreement "A dispute concerning the distribution of the will of ..........." Colucci is ignorant of the rules and laws of probate and refused to read the law and or ask advice of actual probate lawyers and learn that "distribution" of the will occur only after the creditors of the estate, preferred or otherwise, have been paid. Colucci refuses to correct his egregious error and will not re-issue the settlement check. Colucci has in part made settlement payable to a non-party to the lawsuit against the estate, by me, an agent of the creditor of the estate. Colucci mistakenly believe since the lawsuit for a child support arrearage the "child' is the creditor even though he contradicts himself in that he did not list the "child" as a plaintiff in the suit and has made a non-party and a person with absolutely no legal interest in the settlement, "payable, individually and as power of attorney for...." The person is in no way a "power of attorney or an agent" of the creditor. I am in the process of filing a grievance against Dino Colucci with the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers. Mr. Colucci was contacted by the Board's Investigative Attorney and Mr. Colucci refused to resolve this matter amicably. Mr. Colucci subsequent to my filing this review, sent me several derogatory, threatening, and profane emails. I have contacted appropriate criminal investigative agencies due to Colucci's illegal electronic communications to me.

Dino has been our family attorney for eight years. My original contact with him was regarding a life-threatening workplace injury I suffered in 2008. Dino and the rest of his firm could not have been more supportive in my time of troubles. They answered any questions I had promptly, and always kep...t my informed as the case wound its way through the litigation process. The case was resolved without going to trial, just a few months after I hired Dino. We probably set a land-speed record for a six figure settlement. Since then, Dino has represented my mother in a small civil action, and my brother in a minor criminal action. Also, one of the partners has drafted my will. Couldn't be happier with the level of service we have received.

I would recommend Dino Colucci to anyone unfortunate enough to have experienced a complicated long term injury that was not their fault.
