Briana Nichole Capshaw

Briana N. Nashawaty is an associate at Herbst Law Group and represents clients on a variety of matters including estate planning, estate administration and elder law. Briana passed the July 2018 Massachusetts Bar Exam and was sworn in as an Attorney in November, 2018. Prior to joining the firm, Briana worked in general litigation where she gained experience in litigating personal injury matters, consumer protection matters, insurance claim disputes, discrimination, landlord/tenant disputes, and business transactions.

During law school, Briana worked as a legal intern for Lovenberg & Associates while maintaining Dean’s List recognition for every semester. During her second year, Briana was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for excellent achievement in the study of Law and Ethics of Lawyering.

Prior to law school, Briana lived in California where she studied Philosophy with an emphasis in Law and Society at California State Polytechnic University. During undergrad, Briana participated in a Clinical Ethics Internship where she worked closely with her professor to provide guidance/ training to hospital staff regarding hospital ethics and end of life care/decisions. Briana went on to represent her undergraduate university at the California Regional Ethics Bowl Competition where her team won first place and earned a spot as finalists in the 19th Annual National Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl Competition where her team placed 5th in the nation.
