Before assuming the bench as an administrative judge at the MA Department of Industrial Accidents, my practice included labor employment and related work. I left the bench and was named Chief of the Fair Labor & Business Division at the MA Attorney Genersl's Ofc, until I was named Commissioner of Labor Relations. Now that I have resumed practicing law, I offer my clients sound advice and practical approaches to labor and employment issues, including advising businesses, unions and individuals.

My clients include elders, adults and children with special needs and parents planning for themselves and their families. I advise my clients on asset management, asset distribution preservation during life and after death and making special arrangements for loved ones with special challenges. This often includes drafting documents such as wills, trusts, power of attorney,applications for guardianships and health care proxies. Real estate often impacts, and is intertwined, with estate planning

Workers Compensation is a big part of my personal injury practice, as is social security disability work. Each area has its own set of requirements,rules,regulations, standards of proof and recovery; which vary in some regard from personal inury cases. They have many aspects in common however, and it is my job to identify in which area to bring a client's case and the best approach to reaching a favorable outcome such as recovering a money, getting medical care or, getting vocational training

Many of my clients are ordinary folk who may need a lawyer for a particular problem or situation; or, may wish to prevent a problem or situation. I work with my clients to sort the information and then I make recommendations. My clients make the decision on how to proceed based upon my advice,and together we decide upon a strategy to achieve the client's outcome or goal. My clients, if they choose, remain my client even when I refer their specialty matters to another attorney specialist.
