Great Attorney

Kate is the kind of person you want on your side to represent you. Throughout our case, Kate was always there one step ahead on things and prepared. Not only is Kate a truly talented attorney, she is a genuinely nice person who cares about her clients which can be a rare thing these days. I always ...felt like Kate had my best interests at heart and it was a great working relationship. I was very comfortable and I never felt neglected or lost like you might with a big law firm. Kate gave 100% professionally and from her heart. I believe Kate will help a lot of people and that's good for all of us.

Kate Skubecz

Hired Kate to consult/provide guidance on an employment-related question. Without exception, Kate was responsive, available, thorough in her analysis/review, and clear, insightful and pragmatic in her guidance.

Identified key issues and provided good counsel

Katherine served as my counsel in the negotiation of an Employment Agreement. The issues involved were myriad and complex. Katherine clarified and prioritized the key issues and helped me maintain a big picture perspective. She was both detail-oriented and strategic, which is essential to effective n...egotiations and achieving one's goals. I highly recommend Katherine as legal counsel.

Highly recommend for employee-side employment contract help

Katherine helped to review my employment documents and advise on their implications for future carreer options in a easy-to-understand, efficient manner. Excellent documentation and sharing of infromation throughout. Her use of online tools is great for those in the tech community that don't like to ...deal with the usual paper and mail exchanges many laywers still use. Instead of nickel and diming me, she even spent some extra time on a loosely related matter pro-bono - this meant a lot and I will use her again.

Everything I needed to successfully negotiate a new employment contract

Kate helped me negotiate the transition from consultant to a full time employee with a key client. She jumped in and reviewed a blinding array of documents and recommended a very pro-active approach. The whole process took many months due to outside factors and she was both patient and immediately r...esponsive when it was time to close the deal.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Exactly suited for the needs of start-up employees, is my thought when I think of Kate as an employment lawyer. As an immigration attorney, I have clients, colleagues, and friends, who need advice from an employment attorney. Kate has a genuine understanding of the challenges and issues facing employees, particularly employees of start-ups and of small businesses in the technology sector. It is not unusual for Kate to consider the various aspects of her clients’ circumstances. In the two years I have known Kate, she has consulted with me on how the immigration law might affect her clients’ employment situation…without any prompting from her clients. Kate cares for her clients, and will think and go beyond the specific employment issue they initially approached her for."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
