Almost blew the closing and cost me an extra month of rent

I hired this attorney for my first house purchase. I was on a tight timeline because my lease was up, and the realtor had recommended them. After I paid the retainer, I mostly heard from a paralegal. Simple questions sat for days. About a week and a half before closing they sent an addendum with the ...wrong lot number and an old survey date. We caught it, but it stalled the lender and title work. Closing got pushed, I had to stay in the rental another month, and then a “rush” fee showed up on the bill. It never felt like anyone was actually on top of the file. I wouldn’t use them again.

Disappointed – poor experience recovering my security deposit

Hired this attorney to get my security deposit back after my landlord refused to return it. Paid a retainer and was told they’d handle the demand letter and any follow-up. Communication was slow—emails and calls often went unanswered for days. They delayed sending the formal demand, and in the end no...thing useful happened. The deposit still wasn’t returned, yet I was billed for the limited work done. Felt like a waste of time and money. Would not recommend.

Dishonest attorney who lied and took advantage

I hired Arthur Hardy-Doubleday, trusting he would handle things honestly. Instead he lied to me about key details and took advantage of the situation for his own benefit. Felt completely used. Would not recommend.

Disappointing Experience with Arthur Hardy-Doubleday

I hired Arthur Hardy-Doubleday for my and received poor service marked by slow communication, missed deadlines, and ineffective strategy that hurt my case. I ultimately had to hire new counsel to correct the issues and would not recommend them.

More Stress Than Support

Hiring this attorney ended up adding more stress to an already hard situation. We came in hoping for clear guidance and someone we could rely on, but instead we often felt confused, brushed aside, and unsupported. By the end, it was hard to feel confident that our case was being handled with the care... it deserved. Looking back, we truly wish we had chosen someone else.
