Vincent Alexander Tofani

Vincent A. Tofani is of counsel to Parker Scheer LLP and serves as an associate of the firm’s criminal practice group. Attorney Tofani has assisted clients in various areas of criminal defense, including white collar, crimes of violence, fraud, narcotics and motor vehicle offenses. He also has expertise in drunk driving and OUI cases, as well as extensive experience in issues relating to search and seizure, and has been involved in numerous successful motions to suppress evidence and motions to dismiss.

While studying law, Mr. Tofani volunteered his time assisting in case preparation in the Major Crimes Bureau of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. The Major Crime Bureau investigates and prosecutes felony cases in Suffolk County, including, but not limited to robberies, burglaries, assaults, sexual assaults including rape, forgery, vehicular felonies and homicide cases, that result in arrests or indictments for manslaughter and/or criminally negligent homicide.

Mr. Tofani was recently inducted into The National Trial Lawyers Association: Top 40 Under 40, “a new professional organization comprised of America’s top young trial lawyers.” Mr. Tofani also consistently participates as a volunteer judge in the American Bar Association National Moot Court Competition. He is an active member in both the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Police Accountability Project, furthering the stated mission “to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.” Additionally, he’s a member of the Wounded Warrior Project, Cradles to Crayons, the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer and a participant in Lawyers Have Heart. Presently, Mr. Tofani brings his experience and passion for all areas of criminal law to the criminal practice group at Parker Scheer LLP.

In 2012, Mr. Tofani was named a Massachusetts "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine, an honor given to the top 2.5% of lawyers under the age of 40 who have been practicing for less than ten years.
