We hired in man in the summer of 2016 for a simple real estate transaction that completely went left because of his UNETHICAL practices. He was unresponsive (rarely available to take our calls), disrespectful and condescending (his staff could barely speak English and then disconnected the phone on u...s. He also spoke to us in a belittling and threatening tone [example: your deposit is on the line, do you want it back or not?]. And ultimately, he crossed the line when he contacted my significant other's employer/job. That's right - he crossed the ethical line by contacting her employer and emailing her manager (when his services had nothing to do with business or her job). Her boss had to tell this man that whatever his issues are, it has nothing to do with her work/job, so please stop contacting him! How awkward and downright unethical! Finally we had to file a complaint against him through the Office of the Bar Counsel. We were contacted by someone at the Bar Counsel that said based on our initial complaint, we had a legitimate ethical issue and they would send us paperwork to follow through with the complaint (include submitting evidence, paperwork of his services, etc.) so that the Bar Counsel can review and determine appropriate action. The ONLY reason why we decided to hold off was because we were too busy finding another lawyer to replace him, as well as, busy with moving houses. Therefore, all we can do is WARN everyone, including those searching for his services online to STAY AWAY. P.S. Apparently, this man is very thin skinned and has contacted me on YELP and threatened a "lawsuit" against me for an online review, and contacted YELP to have the first review removed. It will not stop us from letting everyone know of our experience. Since, we have advised family, friends, and friends of friends of our experience. Everyone was in disbelief at how someone could be so unprofessional and downright unethical.
