Good ballance

Brian was able to strike the right balance of informing us about the law, the typically process if our case went to court, and how our issue scored on a moral level.

Eddie's IEP

My son has been in Early Intervention for the past year. He will be aging out at the end of January and starting with the Easton Public Schools. Although Brain is a great friend of mine I didn't think twice about asking him to guide me and work me through the IEP process. His level of knowledge is... outstanding and even though we are close he always gave me unbias advice on Eddie. I went into the meeting wanting my son to get into the 5 full-day Itegrated Program. However, at the end of the meeting we left with a 4 half-day Intergrated Program with individualized services. Brian's compassionate honest words on Eddie at the meeting helped us develop a much better plan than was originally intended. I always felt that Brian had my son's best interest at hand. Having Brian involved in this process as a lawyer, advocate, mentor and friend made it go extremely smooth and it turned out to be a win win for all parties.

Special Education Advocate

We hired Brian McLaughlin as an advocate for our son so we could receive Special Education Services for him in the Boston Public Schools. Brian was on top of everything from the moment we sat down to discuss the circumstances, calling the Special Education Department and getting people to call us bac...k and being a awesome representative at our Emergency IEP meeting. Brian truly cared about our son and was not just another child. He called on a regular basis just to check and see how I was doing and see what progress Liam was making. I would hire Brian again in a heartbeat.

Domesticated Judgment

Referred by Boston Lawyer referral, Brian was quick to help. He was honest in his assessment of his skills, kept me informed almost daily, and was more respectful of his adversaries than they deserved. Brian's task was to "domesticate" a judgment against a Massachusetts Company that was handed dow...n in a Virginia Court. Before taking a fee, Brian told me he'd never done this before and would have to research the necessary steps to make certain he could help. When he told me he could handle the job his quote was fair and he went straight to work on my problem. With a couple of weeks he had secured the amount of the judgment plus interest. For me a most pleasant experience.

Compassionate Lawyer

Brian is a smart and hard-working attorney who always puts his client's needs first. He is a sympathetic and compassionate person who can identify with his clients' problems and shortcomings because he has faced adversity himself and triumphed over it. When he takes your case, Brian's goal is not to ...win at any cost, but to come to a fair and just resolution that works for everyone involved and tries to help everyone get on with their lives, which I believe is really important in divorce cases.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
