Biography
As the founder of Bisson Law, attorney Barry J. Bisson focuses his practice on criminal defense and civil litigation. Mr. Bisson serves clients in Massachusetts and New York.
In his criminal law practice, Mr. Bisson represents individuals who have been charged with misdemeanors and major felonies. His civil law practice involves, contract matters as well as serving individuals who are victims of discrimination, harassment, or other employment related legal issues.
A summa cum laude graduate of Newbury College, Mr. Bisson earned his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law, where he continues to serve on the law school’s alumni board of directors.
Mr. Bisson is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Additionally, Mr. Bisson was named a 2017 Super Lawyers Rising Star, which is given to 2.5% of the lawyers in the state of Massachusetts.
Outside of his law practice, Mr. Bisson is an active member of the Massachusetts legal community. He belongs to the Massachusetts Bar Association, were his is vice-chair of the Sole Practitioner & Small Firm Section. He is also an active member of the American Bar Association. Additionally, he judges numerous moot court and mock trial competitions at both the collegiate and law school levels.
