I practice intellectual property law, with an emphasis in biotechnology and life science innovation. I have experience in managing large and small client teams, as well as the Chem/Bio practice group of a large IP firm.
My experience includes strategic patent portfolio management for clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, agricultural, and medical device industries and includes strategic filing and coordinated prosecution of worldwide patent applications, including prior art management, analysis of individual inventive contributions, proactive and coordinated examiner interviews, appeals, reexamination, and opposition.
My practice also includes intellectual property transactions and diligence for mergers and acquisitions, product clearance, review of competitive landscapes, infringement and validity analysis, opinions, and IP litigation.
I keep current on changes in the law that impact intellectual property and buisiness, and frequently speak and write about biotechnology and other IP law issues
