Garrett David Lee

Attorney Garrett D. Lee concentrates his practice on personal injury cases and landlord / tenant disputes. For his personal injury practice, Garrett represents clients who have been injured from motor vehicle accidents, defective products, slip-and-falls, animal attacks, medical malpractice and wrongful death.

Garrett also advises landlords and tenants in their disputes. Garrett currently represents landlords owning commercial and residential properties in Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Boston, Medford, Medfield, Worcester and other communities in Massachusetts. He represents a broad range of property owners - from landlords who own a few investment properties, to large real estate companies owning over a thousand units throughout Massachusetts. Garrett currently serves as outside general counsel to a real estate investment company owning approximately one hundred rental units in the Boston area.

Prior to founding Mitcheson & Lee, Garrett spent nearly a decade working at large national law firms, where he handled exclusively civil litigation matters involving premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, landlord-tenant disputes, legal malpractice, nursing home and medical facility malpractice, real estate professional malpractice, contested foreclosures, product liability, and insurance coverage.

Garrett has successfully represented his clients in all aspects of litigation, including all phases of discovery, depositions, mediation, dispositive motions, court hearings, and jury trial. He has litigated cases in the Massachusetts Superior Court, Massachusetts Housing Court, Massachusetts District Court, United States District Court (MA), Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers, Rhode Island Superior Court, Rhode Island District Court, and the United States District Court (RI).

For his litigation work, Garrett was recognized as a "Rising Star" by New England Super Lawyers Magazine and Boston Magazine in 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017. This award is given to the top 2.5% of lawyers under the age of 40 in Massachusetts.

Garrett is involved in the Chinese community in Massachusetts, and represents many Chinese speaking clients in personal injury and landlord / tenant matters. Mitcheson & Lee LLP has staff on hand that are fluent in Cantonese, and the firm uses translators or interpreters for Mandarin speaking clients.

Garrett is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, Boston Bar Association, and the Asian American Lawyers Association of Massachusetts. He is a Co-Chair for the Northeastern University School of Law Boston Regional Alumni Chapter, is a member of the Northeastern University School of Law Alumni Board of Directors, and a member of the Boston Bar Association Small Firm Section Steering Committee.
