In the past thirty plus years, Steve has represented buyers, sellers, and lenders in residential and commercial transactions. His expertise lies in the negotiation of purchase and sale contracts, title evaluation and problem solving. Steve was foreclosure counsel to Marine Midland Bank (now HSBC) in the early 1990’s, and takes pride in the many times he was able to work with Marine Midland and homeowners to forge solutions that helped people retain ownership of their homes. He has cultivated strong relationships with national title insurance companies and is a respected authority on real estate law.
Steve is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association (REBA) and served for many years on its Residential Conveyancing Committee (RCC). Steve has provided countless educational seminars for real estate organizations around the Commonwealth. Steve is a 1983 graduate of Suffolk Law School, where he served as an editor on the law review, and immediately thereafter was a law clerk to the Honorable Caroline Glassman of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Justice Glassman was in her first year with the Court at time of the clerkship, and was the first woman on the history of the Court.
Although it may now have changed to tennis and pickleball (“more suited to a man in his 60’s”), Steve’s passion has always been basketball. Steve was the head coach of both the boys‘ varsity and junior varsity basketball teams at Hull High School, and then coached many local and travel hoop teams after the birth of his son’s. Steve was a director on the board of the Child King Foundation — a non-profit that administers funds to assist those with intellectual disabilities. Steve is the dad of two sons, who he now lives with in their new home Hull.

"Even if he were not my brother, I would endorse Steve as one of the most knowledgeable, hard working and personable real estate lawyers in Massachusetts. We've worked together for 30 years - I've seen the results he achieves for clients and the professionalism he accords to other attorneys, real estate brokers, and mortgage industry professionals. Perhaps the greatest testament to Steve's character and talents is the group of employees who have worked for him long term - literally for decades. You cannot find a better real estate law firm."
