Timothy Pope is an outstanding attorney. He is quick to respond and very thorough. I lost all confidence in winning my Social Security disability claim until coming in contact with him. Outstanding and highly recommend attorney.

Fair, personable, and just.

I have nothing but positive things to say. Tim represented me in an appropriate manner and I thought he was a fair, personable and a just person. He did a hell of a job explaining my situation to social security representatives and also preparing me for my hearing. He made the whole social securit...y experience bearable.

"I've been doing this for years"

Well, we hadn't. That's why we hired a lawyer! I sincerely doubt this or any attorney even looked at the record until perhaps a day or two prior to the hearing. In retrospect, there was much that should have been done that just wasn't - blatant discrepancies in the medical record, documentation error...s, that should have been noticed problematic ahead of time or at the very least mentioned at the hearing. I have Not "been doing this for years". It took one hearing, mine to know that Nothing concrete was done in the preparation nor any effort put forth in the presentation of my case. A real life disappointment.

I apologize that the experience and outcome was not what you wanted. I, too, am always disappointed when a client is not awarded benefits. A lot of effort is put in by myself and my dedicated staff on every hearing, but even the strongest cases can sometimes lose based on judge, medical records, etc. Unfortunately, I cannot comment with specifics about your claim in this public forum (I am always happy to speak with you privately). Just know that I prepared your case just as I did with the thousands of other hearing cases that I have had over my almost 10 year career. My record of success shows a much higher winning percentage than most attorneys who practice in this area of disability. Again, I am sorry the outcome and experience was not what you hoped for and expected. I appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration in the future. I wish you the best of luck.

Persistent

Was persistent on getting all the information he needed to fight my case. My case was multiple health issues and complicated. I was denied twice. Took Mr. Pope to take it to court and well informing the judge of my situation. He took the panic and anxiety away during this drawn out procedure. Thank y...ou again Timothy Pope and Kelly(paralegal) too.

Competent, accessible, got the job done

The experience was different than what I expected, which was good. They’re in the city and I’m in the suburbs. It was convenient because all of our work was done electronically or on the phone. Their use of technology allowed me to avoid drives into the city and the headaches that come along with it.... They were able to get the job done while providing great personal service. I didn’t feel forgotten. I didn’t feel like a number. I had two brand new knees at age 54 and was trying to figure out what kind of work I could do. I needed to find out if I was eligible for benefits I had paid into over the years. I needed to find a way to keep living from now until I could apply for early retirement. Even if Timothy wasn’t accessible, his paralegals were very accessible. When I had a lot of questions at the beginning of the process, I always felt comfortable that someone would get back to me with answers. Even though the government process takes a long time, Timothy encouraged me to continue with my case and we did win.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
