Disclaimer: The below review is my own opinion based on my personal experience. Your experience may vary. Hiring this law firm was the most expensive mistake of my life. Run- don’t walk away from this place. Unless you want to be verbally and emotionally abused by your own attorney when you’re m...ost vulnerable and most in need of assistance. I selected this firm based on the 5 star Yelp reviews but my experience was far from 5 stars. During my consult, the Attorney assigned to my case (Donna Saber) sounded competent and professional- so I agreed to hire Wright Law. However, it took constant prodding and phone calls from me to move the divorce forward over an 18 month period. Donna almost never proactively reached out to me to provide any case updates. It was always me calling or emailing her asking for a status. For the first 18 months of my case, Donna was reasonably cordial (but nearly always hurried, curt and abrupt). However, as we were getting closer to the actual hearing dates (“crunch time”) Donna completely let me down. There were meetings and hearings scheduled with almost zero explanation of what the hearing was for, how I should prepare, what I should expect, who would be present. When I would ask these (and other questions) - Donna Saber would become agitated, annoyed and exasperated. Dealing with my own attorney became so stressful because of her temper and erratic volatility. If that wasn’t bad enough, Donna was often disorganized and scattered. Example: Donna submitted legal documents for me to sign and notarize that were full of glaring errors including assets (on the asset inventory sheet) that we didn’t even mine (we don’t own a home in Quincy!). So here I am (the client) paying thousands of dollars in attorneys fees while I proofread and correct my own attorney’s work. It would laughable if it wasn’t so egregious (and costly). The worst part? Donna screamed and cursed at me (dropped an F bomb on me) on 11/14/25. Here’s some direct quotes from Donna during our conversations within the two weeks prior to the first pre-trial hearing in front of the judge: “We already went over this!” “I don’t have tiiiiiiimmmeeee for this!” “Oh here we go again with you - around and around!!.” It got so bad (and so routine) that every time I saw my lawyer’s name on the caller ID I would get so anxious because the calls with were so triggering. She would also get very defensive when I asked if certain tasks have been done or what the plan/strategy is? In my personal experience, I’ve never worked with an attorney as unprofessional, erratic and volatile as Donna Saber (and I’ve worked with many attorneys over the years). I tried to speak to the owner or the firm about how I was being treated (Ellen Wright is the owner) but she denied everything, vehemently defended the actions of her employee and offered zero sympathy or support. It’s my opinion that Ellen just wanted to make sure she got paid- despite the abhorrent treatment I received by her firm. My personal opinion & experience is that Ellen Wright is extremely money focused and NOT results driven. This firm doesn’t appear to care whether or not their lawyers actually get the job done, create effective legal strategies or mediate a successful solution - they care about dragging cases out and BILLING THE MAXIMUM amount of hours they can squeeze out of their clients. Bottom line- don’t be fooled (like I was) by the 5 Star reviews. If you’re a masochist and thinking about hiring this firm, you should think long and hard if you want to put yourself through the same hell that I went through. Then think about it again. Wright Law should be ashamed how I was treated. They made the difficult process of divorce far more stressful and painful than it needed to be. Read some of the recent one star reviews (check Google Reviews and Yelp)…they’re much more reflective of what I experienced. I paid well over $10k & got ZERO results
