Attorney Jordan A. Phelps joined The Law Office of Kathleen P. Ryder in 2012 before becoming a partner of the firm, subsequently renamed to Ryder & Phelps, P.C in 2017. Attorney Phelps graduated from Merrimack College with honors in 2008 as well as Suffolk University Law School in 2012. During his first year of Law School he was admitted to the Rehnquist Inn Chapter of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and was an active participant in the Merrimack College Pre-Law Society which mentored college aged students interested in attending law school post graduation. Since graduating from Suffolk Law School he has purposefully concentrated his practice primarily in the field domestic relations.

In addition to handling divorce litigation, 209 C paternity actions, contempt actions, complaint for modifications, and 209 A restraining orders he has also been appointed by Judges as a Guardian ad litem and a special master to assist them in the administration of justice. Attorney Phelps routinely volunteers his time providing free legal services for programs such the Lawyer of the Day program in the Middlesex Probate and Family Court. In addition, he is a regular guest speaker at the Lowell Fatherhood program sponsored by the Middlesex County Probate and Family Court Probation Department. He has recently been admitted to the board of Directors at the Kimi Nichols Center which supports adult individuals with developmental disabilities.

Remarkable
So I'm at court house lost and confused trying to amend some custody paperwork that I wasnt even sure if I could. The guy in front me (Jordan) looked like he might know a thing a two and had very approachable demeanor. So i took chance and asked him if I could just ask a simple question so i wasn't wasting time in line. With no hesitation he said yes and proceeded to point me in the right direction. I thanked him and proceed to the correct are to the paperwork I needed. After getting the paperwork I found myself in more confusion then i started. So i proceeded to go sit at table when i bumped back into Jordan. To my complete and utter surprise he asked me if found everything ok and if I was allset. Which I wasnt obviously. So he looked everything over reassured me it was easy but I was miss alot. Gave me his card and offered to look everything over some more and help walk me through it tomorrow over the phone. Which lead to a meeting a day or so later. The amount of time, diligence, effort and detail Jordan went through for me absolutely stunned me for I never expected him to go so far to help me. He covered things I never even thought to think of, maybe even wouldnt of ever thought of. I left with such satisfaction that I would of hired him in heartbeat back in 2014 when I was filling all this paperwork the first time. Thankyou again Jordan!!!

Attorney Jordan Phelps has been an excellent hire. Jordan is extremely detail oriented and well versed. Jordan has been and continues to be on top of every thing has come up in my case. The amount of effort and passion he has put into my case is incredible. Jordan provides quick responses to any and all questions that I have come up with in my ongoing case, which has been able to put to ease my stress and frustrations that I have had. Jordan happened to be nearby in the courthouse as my husband and I struggled to understand why our divorce paperwork had been rejected by the clerk. He volunteered his services in that moment and was extremely patient as he sat with us to help us fill out the paperwork and resubmit it and then wouldn't accept any sort of compensation. Attorney Jordan Phelps is vey knowledgeable, thorough, professional and compassionate. He cares about my case. My name is Thomas I'm a Veteran that grew up in greater Lowell area. When you need a great attorney going to Boston isn't always the best route Ryder and Phelps are your local elite team located in Westford Mass. After many attempts at salvaging a toxic relationship it was time to move forward and I needed help. I retained the law firm of Ryder and Phelps. It was unfortunate this happened but divorce is emotional draining. Attorney Jordan Phelps was the best man for the job. He always demonstrated patience , diplomacy and objectivity. Very Professional and Helpful
Jordan was a valued resource during an extremely difficult time in my life. For over a year while he worked on my divorce, Jordan was nothing but professional, responsive and patient. He always made himself available to answer my questions, even if it was a question I had already asked but was too overwhelmed to understand. Great Lawyer
In my experience he's fair across the board, competent, and great at setting expectations; good, bad, indifferent. Things have not always gone as expected, such is the case when you stand in front of a Judge, but I've never felt it to be a result of bad counsel. Even with the benefit of hindsight, I've never second-guessed his counsel. I find him to be level-headed, methodical, and measured. It's more often the case I feel like I'm dealing with a friend who happens to be an attorney rather than an attorney. He's taken an interest in my case and my family that I've not seen in other attorney's and he's gone above and beyond what I'd expect.
