Very Poor Lawyer

I Hired Stylianos about 3 years ago when I was trying to get my wife citizenship, she had been in the U.S. since she was 6 and he said it would be no problem to get her citizenship. He did try many different ways to get it I will give him that, but he did not keep us in the loop in any way shape or f...orm, I had to go in to his office to ask him what was going on all the time or I would never hear from him, he was unsuccessful in getting her anything but her work authorization card which we had already been doing ourselves, and suspiciously about 8 months after we stopped working with him someone from USCIS calls and starts talking about deportation. Right after we hired him I left for Afghanistan and he said that would help a lot, but he talked to my wife once the whole time I was gone and when I returned I went to his office and he said the only thing he can think of to do was to send her back to her home country which she knows no one there, and maybe she would be able to come back, he is a hack and I would not even recommend him to an enemy. He does not care about his clients, he is not proactive, and he is mediocre at best on his knowledge.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
