Caveat Emptor

This review has been a long time coming. I felt I had to wait until it longer mattered to my profession. It was in fact why I went to Scott Gleason in the first place - because I was concerned that I might lose my security clearance due to a traffic stop in which the officer detected that I had imb...ibed in marijuana. This occurred back in 2009 in New Hampshire. Scott impressed upon me that I indeed had something to fear - calling NH "a law and order state." After an impressive sales pitch in his office, he announced that his fee for my case was $4,500. I think he could sense my sticker shock. He assured me that he would fight for me with everything at his disposal. So - feeling reassured that he could help salvage my career, I went on with life until my court date the following spring. He wasn't at the court house. Instead he sent his brother - also an attorney. After his brother was briefed on my case, he met with the judge and petitioned for a reduction from misdemeanor to violation - the latter not resulting in a blemish on my record. I'm grateful for the legal action that helped me avoid any criminal documentation. But I highly doubt that the 20 minutes of mundane lawyering (my perception of course) that Scott's brother provided warranted the price tag. If I were to give Scott the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he charged me that - not only because he thought I could afford it - but also because it would allow him to take it easier on those who were desperate for his services but were too impoverished to afford it. That's my idealistic side speaking. Realistically I see it as a good old-fashioned money grab. Buyer beware!

Terrible liar

This lawyer is a liar and takes clients money. I hired him for a case he told me he will dismiss my case with all the proofs that i presented to him. Before my first court day he told me he would dismiss all charges that they had no validation when the court day arrived he goes in and tells the judge... to give him another court day because he was not prepared for the case. The following court day he did not appeared. Never presented himself statitng he had another case and sent his collegue that had no clue of my case. At the end of the trial he declared me guilty which he made a deal with the DA without my knowledge
