Lewis J Cohn

Lewis J. Cohn is the Managing Partner in the law firm of Cohn & Dussi, LLC. He heads the Banking, Finance, Equipment Leasing and Litigation Departments, and is a managing member of the Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy Departments. Mr. Cohn’s practice is concentrated in representing lenders in all phases of the commercial loan process with specific knowledge in the collection, workout and liquidation of troubled debt. He is an aggressive attorney with a primary goal of providing clients with the most effective and economical solution to their legal issues. He has developed a special expertise in the representation of equipment lessors, lenders and banks in leasing transactions, asset-based transactions and workouts. He has a broad background of litigation experience, regularly appearing before the state, federal and bankruptcy courts.

Mr. Cohn holds a LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law and a J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law. He is a member of the Massachusetts and District of Columbia Bars. He is also a member of the Equipment Leasing Association (ELA), the National Equipment Finance Association (NEFA), the Lease Enforcement Attorney Network (LEAN), The Massachusetts Bankers Association, the Northeast Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and the National Equipment Finance Association Legal Committee. In addition, Mr. Cohn is a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is a frequent speaker at many equipment leasing and banking educational seminars and conferences.
