Ellyn was excellent at keeping me informed about the process and progress. Helped me define my goals for the process and then worked hard to reach those goals, Her professionalism was exemplary particularly when opposing counsel spoke in a demeaning tone with undertones of male dominance. She maintai...ned a completely professional demeanor and did not acknowledge the slight. I was rather upset by it. I always felt like she had my back during. I trusted her to have my best interests in my in all communications with opposing counsel and the court. I would hire her again without a second thought and would recommend her to anyone with interest. She is a superstar in my book.

Ellyn represented me in my divorce. She was responsive to my concerns and provided all information I needed. She understood that my children were most important. Working with her office was great. I ended up with a divorce agreement that met my needs and ended the conflict with my husband. She was... just what I needed in a really difficult, emotional situation.

Throughout my case Attorney Fishkin frequently ignored my case for very large and unreasonable spans of time. I would specifically inquire as to status and be provided no response or a response indicating that she was “working on it” or it was “on her radar”. After months, I would learn nothing had b...een done to advance my case. It was embarrassing for me as my former spouse would always know more about the status of things than I did. She has been very challenging to work with and if I had to ever do this again, I would not hire her again. I will not be recommending her to anyone I know.

I hired Ellyn Fishkin for my family court case. I found her to be generally unresponsive and after a significant amount of time and many many follow ups on my part it became clear she had not done the work I retained her to do. I feel she pulled me to hire her with promises of being there to help me ...only to ignore my case once I had retained her and had paid my retainer. I feel that the long-standing period of unresponsiveness has severely prejudiced my case and it is upsetting that I have received no explanation after all of this time. I am now left without my finds to retain a new competent attorney.
