When I started to practice law 37 years ago, my father, also a lawyer, offered me some thoughtful and exceptionally valuable advice: listen carefully, do your homework, and above all, maintain a sense of humor-because you are going to need it. I have to admit that Dad was right and his wise words resonate with me daily. Attentively listening to my clients and meticulously preparing their cases are indeed the hallmarks of success for both my clients and myself.
Working closely with each client, I identify ways to help them feel at ease. It helps establish approachability, confidence, and most importantly, trust. And an extension of the trust between my clients and myself is availability. I am that lawyer who gets on the phone with clients even on a Saturday because I understand that sometimes questions can't wait until the following Monday during regular business hours. I am that lawyer who may be dressed casually around the office but make no mistake, I am always a passionate advocate for my clients, no matter the time, the place, the attire. At the end of the day, successfully resolving a client's matter tells me that I am doing the right thing. And I am proud to say that, on occasion, after the successful conclusion of a case or matter, the opposing party, in that case, has hired me for a new legal matter saying "We need a guy like you." Those words are both reinforcement and reward to a lawyer like me.
During my career, I have gone to trial and arbitration in over 150 cases including, personal injury defense, business litigation, landlord-tenant, contract, construction and franchise matters. My experience comprises the entire litigation process and practice in all Massachusetts Courts.
GETTING TO KNOW YOUR BUSINESS FROM THE INSIDE
At the Katz Law Group, we roll up our sleeves to be part of a client's business or to better understand a client's particular problem. We seek to grasp the unique business interests, culture, and goals of a client in order to protect that client's brand and legal rights. Sometimes our involvement includes visiting a construction site, attending a management meeting, or even going out to a client's business to better understand the mechanics of how that client's business operates. We make every effort to make your business and legal matter our business.
TARGETED EXPERTISE AND EFFICIENCY = OVERALL VALUE
My firm is committed to providing legal services of high quality at reasonable rates. At my firm, we keep you updated when you are not asking for an update. Whether it is a simple status email or a comprehensive memo, we strive to make our communications clear, concise and frequent.
