Deirdre A M O'Brien

Attorney O'Brien helped me every step of the way through a really bad situation. There we many dynamics to my divorce with my ex being involved in with drugs, stealing and dealing. Just messy! We lost our house due to a short sale. It was a living nightmare. Deirdre was instrumental in helping me... come back from such a horrible situation. She took time to get to know me, and she provided feedback aside from just supporting the legal aspects. She recommended books and groups that I could join to help through the emotional part of my situation. I feel that Deirdre's best quality is her honest approach. She keeps reality in check and she knows the laws inside and out and approaches the situation with real life perspective. She is up front on the costs, and she wont make you fight for something that she knows wont fly in the courts eyes. I still refer back to Deirdre with questions and concerns that arise and she responds to me almost immediately. She also always takes the time out to ask about me, my son and how my life is at that time, she truly cares about me as a person, not just a client. She is often my sound board and when things get foggy through the ups and downs of life after divorce, she provides advise that helps me make the best decisions for my son and I. I could even go as far to say that I consider her a mentor.

Deirdre did an awesome job developing a strategy that allowed me to really set myself up well for retirement. While I had to give up more in the short term, she really taught me the importance of looking out for myself in the long term. She knew that emotionally, I wasn't ready to go quickly during m...y divorce, but she recognized that legally, the best chance I had was to go quickly. She was empathetic to my emotional needs while taking care of my legal needs. Her paralegal was very responsive to my questions. Going through a divorce is really tough but Deirdre made sure it was done as quickly as possible.
