Larry Desilets has practiced law since 1974. He started his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Suffolk County Superior Court. Larry then joined the firm of White, Inker, Aronson where he eventually became a partner. Larry handled diverse and complicated litigation in many forums including domestic relations, criminal, personal injury and business litigation cases. He then decided to move his practice to Framingham where he has been practicing since 1987.
Larry has handled literally hundreds of divorce cases involving issues ranging from custody, child support, alimony, visitation, shared parenting plans and division of assets. He was co-counsel in the precedent setting case allowing a parent to remove the minor children from Massachusetts to Greece. He also has successfully mediated many settlements in divorce cases.
On the Probate side of the Family Court, Larry has successfully prosecuted and defended multiple will contests.
In criminal courts, Larry has successfully defended numerous clients with charges ranging from attempted murder, rape, assault and battery to breaking and entering. He also has obtained many not guilty verdicts in OUI cases.
Larry has also obtained many favorable verdicts in personal injury cases including a 1.8 Million Dollar verdict in a medical malpractice case, a $600,000 verdict in a slip and fall case and a 2.5 Million Dollar settlement in a product liability case.
Larry has litigated and mediated many business disputes with great success, including a $600,000 settlement during trial in a lender liability case.
Finally, Larry is a sole practitioner, so if you retain his services, you will not be dished off to an associate. He will handle your case from beginning to end.
Practice areas
One of the most painful aspects of divorce involves splitting families up. However, with the right custody lawyer on your side, you can achieve a resolution that benefits you both.

No divorce cases are exactly alike. Most involve issues of custody co-parenting, support, insurance, division of assets and needs of the children. I also mediate cases for those who wish an amicable resolution.

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter
I am glad to be able to endorse Attorney Lawrence Desilets. Larry and I opposed each other in a difficult matter at Probate and Family Court. He impressively advocated for his client while not wasting time and money with the unnecessary and foolish tactics that we often see at court. That comes from experience and smarts.
