I was very fortunate to have Laurie work with me. My ex-husband took me back to court, fairly unnecessarily. Laurie listened to me and heard everything I shared and every piece of proof I had, presented it perfectly to the court. Was honest with me telling me what was worth fighting for and what w...asn’t. She has an amazing understanding and knowledge of the law and the way the court works. Confident that I hired the best, and she had a genuine concern for what was right; and it happened. I hired Attorney Raphaelson back in the fall of 2016. I felt comfortable with her right away. She was very sympathetic to my situation. I had the rug pulled out from under my feet. My whole world as I knew it crumbled before my eyes. Attorney Raphaelson is extremely knowledgeable about what happens ...in a divorce. She knew I was extremely scared and terribly vulnerable. She walked me through everything. My divorce dragged on and on. Attorney Raphaelson retired in January 2018. I was so sad to see her go. But she made sure I was in the right hands. She took me to meet Attorney Nick Plante. And he is everything she said. He was kind and extremely knowledgeable and like Attorney Raphaelson he treated me like a person and not just another client. I am so thankful that I met Attorney Raphaelson. She’s such a kind hearted person and really cares about people. I’ve been with Nick since 2018 and although I’m still not divorced Attorney Raphaelson put me in the right hands. I’m so happy that she is retired and on the next leg of her journey. Attorney Laurie Raphaelson was a ray of hope at a time I was so despondent over health challenges and my husband leaving me after a thirteen year toxic marriage. I consulted with a few attorneys prior to Laurie; none of whom I felt comfortable with trusting my future. Laurie was extremely responsive to my many inquiries and provided explanations in layman's terms. She was very patient and compassionate yet aggressive when necessary. Laurie was always direct, to the point and spot on. Her staggering ability to keep things in perspective, especially when delivering information I did not want to hear, was extremely beneficial. Her calm and confident presence allowed me to stay strong during such a difficult time. Laurie's empathetic demeanor offered emotional support during times it was very much needed. Her preparedness never ceased to amaze me. Her attention to detail, impeccable timing and no nonsense attitude allowed my divorce to not drag out and was resolved the day of my pretrial hearing. From day one I had all the trust and confidence that Laurie was an attorney of integrity who would always have my best interest at heart. It was a true honor to have been represented by such a fine attorney and person.

I hired Laurie after trying to negotiate my own divorce. As a business owner I was hesitant to trust anyone else to negotiate on my behalf. I couldn't have picked a better advocate. The thing about Laurie is that she doesn't beat around the bush. She knows her stuff and gets to to the point. I'm... not the easiest person to represent because I think I know everything, however, because she is so professional, she set me straight and handled everything so I no longer had to. She managed to make sense of years of financial documents in piles of paper that seemed completely overwhelming to me. Laurie is the ONLY attorney that I have ever liked. She is responsive, and most importantly a true professional. She knows what she is doing. She also was extremely adept at time management. My ex's lawyer wanted to reconvene another day and she said, "I don't think so, we can get them divorced today if you just follow me a few blocks to my office." She knows the importance of making a deal and how timing is crucial. I know that divorce can be a stressful time, but if you listen to her, and do what she says, you will be just fine. She is amazing and I love her.

Ms Raphaelson is well respected within the Worcester legal community as both a highly competent and ethical practitioner. She demonstrates a devotion to the families involved that is unprecedented in my experience. On a personal level, while Laurie remains particularly sympathetic to the plight o...f children involved in divorce, she is less so the adult participants. Probate court can be very unpleasant and as such if you are seeking 1st a sympathetic ear, look elsewhere. Alternatively, if interested in honest accurate appraisal followed up by strong, able and most importantly, credible advocacy for you and possibly your children, you can not expect to do much better. I would suggest that the previous post got exactly what he should have desired, an amicable out of court settlement worked out principally between the parties. How could Ms Raphaelson have done her job any better?
