Kelly A. Broadbent

I retained Ms. Broadbent in June of 2015 in order to represent me on an infraction in Charlton, Massachusetts. Of utmost concern was the idea that this ticket could go on my record in Washington State, that Massachusetts and Washington do not have a reciprocity / info-sharing agreement. Ms. Broadbent... stated that there was no info sharing between Washington and Massachusetts. I recently learned that the ticket showed up on my Washington license. I called MassDot registry of motor vehicles and was told that the two states always share info. I am disappointed because it appears that Ms. Broadbent did not provide correct information regarding reciprocity between Massachusetts and Washington. After being licensed to practice law in the State of Massachusetts for 11 years, shouldn't she be aware of the correct information sharing between the two states. Ms. Broadbent has not returned my calls or emails. Very dissatisfied. No need for traffic attorneys like this. I am forced now to pay higher insurance rates for the next three years and my CDL is in jeopardy. No return calls or emails. Poor service. Do not use this attorney. Licensed to 'practice' law, which appears to be all that she is doing. The whole purpose of the retainer was to keep the ticket off my driving record!

I received a speeding ticket in Boston and it was important to me to get it dismissed, as a clean driving record is important for my job, as well as insurance. I contacted a few attorneys to get a quote, most just blew me off and ignored my inquiry; Kelly did not. She returned my call within a busi...ness day and quoted me a price that was less than any other lawyer that DID return my call. She also sounded much more confident and familiar with the traffic court process than the others, so I hired her. She was able to successfully nip the problem in the bud at the first step of the process (I was found "not responsible" for the ticket at the magistrate hearing) and I believe it was solely due to her good reputation among the traffic courts that I was able to get away free and clear. I did not have a very strong defense, and am quite certain without her, I would have lost my case. For just a shade more than the cost of the citation, I retain a clean record and will continue to save on future insurance premiums. I would highly recommend her if you have a traffic ticket problem in Massachusetts.
