"Counsel", in every sense of the word.

I had quite a complicated child custody case. My ex-partner took custody of our child and restricted the amount of time I could spend with him - just a few hours a week. She employed a lawyer and made accusations about my ability to parent and made false allegations of violent behavior. It was one of... the lowest points in my life. I thought I was never going to spend time with my son again. I'm an unmarried father and never expected to get much from the courts. I was in a bad place and I hired Pete. Pete talked me down from the ledge a number of times. As much as I wanted Peter to get down and dirty with her bulldog attorney (they continued to make false allegation after false allegation even involving my place of work), Pete insisted that the approach we take was to maintain the high road. This is his style and he knows what he is doing. In the end, the courts did the right thing and I got a favorable outcome, much more than I expected. What makes Pete stand out from other attorneys is that he isn't going to tell you what you want to hear. He's diplomatic but will be honest and call you on your own (often irrational) behavior. Pete is honest. He's not going to throw fuel on the fire of a relationship to make a quick buck - he's actually going to tell you how you can use less of his time. It seems counterintuitive, but that proves his integrity and honesty, and in the end, my legal costs were a third of what my ex-partner's were. Of course Pete is knowledgable about the law, he's friendly, and trustworthy, understands the situation you are in. He also helped me find my way. Pete is "counsel", in literally every sense of the word. I wholeheartedly recommend him.
