One of Nicest Men I've Ever Met - It was very refreshing

I went to Mr. Roth after my Social Security claim was denied. I was confused about why I had been denied twice, and then I was referred to him by a friend. I originally tried to handle things on my own, as I knew I had sufficient documentation. But even after meeting with their own doctors, and ...THEY wrote an appropriate review, I was still denied. So I filed another appeal and I was told I had to come in to see a judge. That's when I sought the help of an attorney that dealt with Social Security claims. To my surprise, he ONLY works on Social Security claims, and was once employed by them; for quite some time. (A current employee also told me that, when I went in to complete things.) You see. I have anxiety difficulties with people of authority, but after meeting with him that first time, he made me feel very comfortable. I knew right away that he was a “down to earth” real person, a people person, he was just so easy to talk to. (yes, he loves to talk and to share his life stories) He kept me informed of everything. Each time he heard something from them or needed to inform me of something, I got a call. I got a call NOT from a staff member, but from him directly, and that alone meant a lot to me. On the day I was to meet with the judge, we walked over together, and even though I was slow, he was right there by my side. That too meant a lot to me. I have to say, he's a wonderful attorney and a very, very nice man. If you have a valid case and are having a hard time, this is the man you want on your team!

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
