About me

Rachel is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Nourse Farms, Inc. Rachel grew up in a farming community and began working at Nourse at the age of 14. She stayed with Nourse through college summers handling tasks varying from Christmas tree sales, to office and lab work and eventually running the Pick Your Own Berry operation. Rachel respects and understands the importance of agriculture to the community and is proud to be a part of the Nourse Farms team.

Prior to working at Nourse, Rachel was an Associate Attorney at Legacy Counsellors, P.C. where she developed an understanding of Estate and Business Planning. Rachel returned to Western Massachusetts after building unique insight and skills in the Probate and Family courts, as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Justice Spencer Kagan at the Middlesex Probate and Family Court in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  Prior to joining Legacy Counsellors, P.C., Rachel worked as an attorney in the Boston area for Family Law Practitioners, P.C. and Enfield Family Law & Associates, where she handled various aspects of domestic relations and probate matters.

As an undergraduate student, Rachel first studied Criminal Justice/Pre-Law at SacredHeartUniversity in Fairfield, Connecticut and went on to graduate first in her major at Westfield State College in Westfield, Massachusetts.  Rachel was a Merit Scholar at Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts where she earned her Juris Doctor.

Rachel is a good listener and a caring counselor.  She works closely to help clients make the most informed decisions possible and employ the best overall strategy to achieve the clients’ desired outcome.

Rachel lives in Deerfield, Massachusetts with her husband and their two dogs and are expecting their first child in October. Together they enjoy spending time outdoors in the beautiful Pioneer Valley, the Berkshires and southern Vermont.
