Unresponsive & Arrogant

This is strictly My perception and opinion of how he and I interacted. Attorney Richard Leblanc was appointed by the courts as my defense attorney. He seemed like a nice guy and my first impression was that he was going to be a real go getter. Things started out alright until I had to set up an ap...pointment with him to review my case. I, on occasion would leave numerous voicemail messages asking what was needed or how I could assist but it would take him days to return the calls. When we finally spoke he was somewhat mechanical and aloof. Throughout working with him on my case I felt as though I was bothering him or it just wasn't the right time to speak with him. He appeared somewhat arrogant at times and whenever we spoke he seemed angry at me for some reason or another. I just let it go and thought this was his way of keeping a professional demeanor. Since he was the lawyer I figured he knew what he was doing and it wasn't his job to allow himself to get too personal with his client(s). When we finally did meet and discuss the case, if I said something he didn't agree with or if I had a suggestion he would sometimes raise his voice in anger to let me know what is wrong with my suggestions etc. My impression of him didn't get any better as the case was nearing trial because he would never reach out to me with updates and/or information, however, I staid the course and this was due to my lack of funds and I needed someone to fight for my innocence. I should have spoken up and since I've never been in a position that required an attorney I felt he was the one in charge. As time passed, I didn't squawk or complain and I just went with the flow. On some occasions he would be in a good mood and on others he would be coarse. For the most part he was an okay person but a little unapproachable. Long story short he did not win my case and when all was said and done he basically washed his hands and moved on. My belief is the case was lost because I should have been more aggressive with my opinions and not felt or been allowed to feel intimidated or somewhat inferior.
