Waste of money and time

NO stars would be much more actual. Disappointed would be the best way to describe my experience. Very Expensive and not worth two cents. I ended up doing most of the work, filing legal papers, went to court appearances alone, sending letters and contacting police and other authorities. $2,000.00 is... a lot of money to waste on very poor quality, their lack of returning phone calls and emails, their total lack of answering letters and requests for copies, their snooty office clerks that actually lied to me to keep me dragging this important tenant case. What I sense was Jonathan wanted to do more , wanted to proceed correctly but was held back. Money is their total motivation and not helping clients. I would not recommend this firm for anything. Do NOT waste your time or money.

NEGATIVE STARS!!!!!

This excuse for a lawyer is only in the occupation, to fatten her pocketbook. She talked me into paying her a retainer, to handle my divorce issue, saying it would be less expensive for me, than to pay her outrageous hourly stipend. Then instead of negotiating with my ex to get me the deed to my h...ome- she filed a stay, supposedly to give me extra time to negotiate a more fair settlement. Then she asked for more money; saying this was more difficult than she had anticipated. I paid but smartly made her write on the agreement, that this was for FINAL completion of my case. After paying that amount, she did nothing helpful for me and sadly, did many detrimental acts. Then she told me about another client who got tens of thousands of dollars, in her divorce settlement, thanks to great legal negotiations, and that the same could be done for me, if I paid more money. She said I should be happy to pay her more, if I would be getting so much more as a divorce settlement. She looked me in the eye and said "I'm not like most lawyers - who just want your money. I get down in the foxhole with you and fight" Unfortunately she didn't mention that she'd be shooting AT me, unless I paid her more money. I'm writing this, in the hopes that someone else could avoid the more than a year of hell that I went through, because I stupidly did not research her background and her past reviews; before hiring her.

Unscrupulous

2015. My ex hired Ms Quigley in our divorce case. As most of these situations go, this was a very traumatic and painful time for our family. While the relationship between my ex and I was very contentious, we did decide to sit down and talk before our final court date to try and communicate better fo...r the best interest of our child. While doing so we discovered that Ms Quigley was playing us against each other. She told me he wanted $6500 cash from me. (I represented myself) I explained that I did not have that kind of money and asked her to speak with my ex to see if we could work something out. She came back about an hour later and said that he was insisting on it and was going to ask for more child support than our original agreement. According to my ex, this was a bold-faced lie by Ms Quigley. In my opinion she was trying to stir the pot to line her pockets. Furthermore, she STRONGLY and several times suggested that I not sign anything on our initial court date. She went to my ex and told him that I was holding things up and because of that she wanted $2000 more dollars. Very unethical. She is also extremely rude and unprofessional. She has a habit of trying to be demeaning and rolling her eyes. Very disrespectful. She lost my financial statement and each time we met she acted like it was the first time. My ex said that she frequently seemed confused about his case and was very disorganized. Furthermore, when I did confront Ms Quigley about playing us against each other for her own monetary gain, she threatened me by saying she was going to file a complaint with the judge. This woman is one of the reasons lawyers have their horrible reputation.

Save your money and your sanity... She will not fight for you.

I hired Betsy for a divorce case that turned into a criminal case, I have given her $7,500 thus far. I called her to talk to her about the divorce agreement weeks in advance and never got a call back. I did not hear from her until the day of the divorce hearing. She told me to agree with everything... his lawyer said and just move on. I listened to her thinking I could trust her. I have lost everything and my ex has not adhered to ANY of our agreements and Betsy is no where to be found. I have a court date set for next week and I have not heard from her since my divorce hearing a month ago. I have been calling everyday leaving messages and calling back when her receptionist says she will be available. She has blown me off more times than I can count. I called today to tell her I am seeking other council and that I expect a refund for the criminal case she has not done anything with. Guess what her receptionist said "I will give her the message" the same thing as always, how much do you want to bet she will never call me back? how about $7,500?

All talk...no action

I hired this lawyer for my divorce almost 4 years ago. I am still not divorced and am no further along today than I was on day one. Other than actually filing the motion for divorce, nothing else has been resolved. I have paid her @ $10,500.00 so far and that includes 1 1/2 days in court. She sug...gested I hire a guardian ad litem , which cost an additional $3000.00. This person not only was a waste of my money, Atty Quigley still hasn't gotten a divorce granted for me. She was never properly prepared for court and frequently would Speak inaccurately about information I had given her. She also talks condescendingly to me on many occasions. I am a very intelligent person and was insulted. At times I felt bullied into decisions. I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone.
