I mediate divorces for ALL Massachusetts courts and counties. Divorce is governed by state law, so no matter where you are in MA, I can mediate your divorce over Zoom and have a first draft of all court document to you within days. You will appreciate my flat-fee, affordable, Western Massachusetts prices. I have been mediating divorces online fulltime since March 2019 when COVID hit.

I have been practicing divorce law and mediation full-time in Massachusetts since 2003. Before moving to Massachusetts, I was Staff Attorney at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law in Los Angeles, and I served as Director of the Feinstein Institute for Legal Service at the Roger Williams University School of Law in Bristol, Rhode Island. I have been admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania, California, New York, and Massachusetts. I received my BA from Brown University in 1987 and my law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1991.

Professional and Compassionate
Julia made an extremely difficult and emotional process as smooth as possible. She was prepared and facilitated our two sessions with compassion and an open mind. Julia presented topics we had to discuss and come to terms with, which made the time so worth it. Julia prepared all necessary paperwork and we simply had to sign where she told us to! While I never wish divorce on anyone...if you have to go through the ordeal I highly recommend Julia.

Wonderful Mediator!
We chose Julia because of the amazing reviews we had read, and she did not disappoint. She was attentive, friendly, and patient as she helped us work through our separation agreement. I very much appreciated her ability to explain things to us in simple terms, help us understand the "norm", and her willingness to support us when we chose to do things a bit outside the box. She uses a sliding scale, which seems just and equitable and, even though we were at the high end of that scale, she ended up being much cheaper than the other mediators we met with in the Boston area. I strongly recommend!

Extremely Helpful
My ex-husband and I sought Julia's services after she was referred to us by a friend who is also a lawyer. We knew we wanted to divorce and knew we wanted to do so as amicably as possible, but we had some sticking points and really needed help sorting out our family home, his business, a custody agreement, and child support. Julia was efficient, extremely knowledgable, and made sur that both parties felt heard. She guided us every step of the way and made sure that no stone was left unturned. Without her help and the final product of our separation agreement I know that my ex and I would have had many disagreements and hardships. Her help and the agreement paved the way for a low-stress divorce and a co-parenting plan that is still serving us well nearly 8 years later.

Highly Recommend - Negotiating Pension Settlements
I contacted Julia after reading an article she wrote on her website where she provided clear and comprehensive information that explained critical factors to be considered (and often overlooked) when negotiating pension benefits from an ex-spouse. I was very impressed that she and her staff took the time to dive into the details of my unique situation. She did this knowing that she couldn’t represent me, as I live in a state that she does not practice in. She is professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Hire her!
Julia *got* all of what we needed so clearly, replied quickly to inquiries, and was accessible and personable even as she kept things efficient and professional. In our case, she was cleaning up after a frustratingly slow and error-ridden mediation experience elsewhere, and it was a tremendous relief to finally feel confident about our separation agreement and other documents. Made something difficult like divorce as straightforward and smooth as possible

We met with Julie and she was very attentive and listened to what we had to say. She was very understanding and she did inform us of certain legal things that we had to abide by and she gave us all the information that we needed to proceed with our divorce. She was very thorough. Julia actually came to my rescue twice. The first time, I was fortunate enough to stumble across her website while looking for divorce mediation. We did not have the time or money for court battles; we just needed someone to insert some sense and sanity into what is already a tricky and painful process. Julia was able to make our divorce process simple and straightforward, and we both felt like we were heard! Four years later, I contacted Julia again to help me with the next intimidating process of amending the divorce agreement. Again, I felt like she did her conscientious best to humanize and streamline the process (and save me money!) with her compassion, quick thinking, and thorough attention to detail. And as a bonus: she answered my panicked emails in a timely and kindly fashion.

My mediation experience
Julia was our mediation attorney . I can say that through your this difficult process, Julia was composed, calm, professional and guided us well . This helped us make sound decisions during the process . Julia had showed us that mediation is the way to go when people are already going through difficult time in their lives .
