Daniel James OConnell

Attorney Daniel J. O’Connell is the managing partner of O’Connell & Plumb, P.C. He graduated cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and graduated with his Juris Doctorate from Boston University Law School in 1987. Attorney O'Connell Has been selected as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in the field of Emploment Law and Trial Work.

Attorney O’Connell is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, the United States Court of Appeals, the First Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Hampden County Bar Association, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

He has published articles in professional journals on bank lender liability, employment law and labor law. He has further lectured on trial practice for continuing legal education courses in Massachusetts. Attorney O’Connell served previously as a member of the litigation department for the Boston law firm of Riemer & Braunstein and the Springfield firm of Bacon & Wilson, P.C. He has extensive trial experience and has obtained many favorable verdicts and settlements on his client’s behalf. For example, in a recent employment discrimination case, he obtained a $1.4 million jury verdict for his client. In a recent sexual harrassment matter he settled for $2.5 million dollars.

Attorney O’Connell practices in a myriad of areas, including trial practice, complex civil litigation, criminal litigation and defense, employment discrimination and sexual harassment, wrongful termination and other forms of litigation.
