Amber Zupancic-Albin

Amber’s practice emphasizes healthcare compliance and regulatory matters, contracting, third-party liability subrogation claims, ERISA, litigation and general advice issues in health care law. Amber’s practice is also focused on professional liability defense, including representing health care providers before their licensing boards.

Prior to joining Zupancic Rathbone, Amber owned her own medical legal consulting firm, AZA Consulting, LLC, where she spent several years providing litigation support and high-exposure claims management services to large healthcare institutions and law firms. Also a Registered Nurse, Amber received her nursing degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. She spent nearly seven years serving as an R.N. in the Portland area as well as in California before deciding to go to law school. Amber studied Health Law at California Western School of Law in San Diego, receiving her J.D. in 2008.

While in law school, Amber served as a law clerk for another Portland area law firm as well as for the Office of the Attorney General, Department of Justice, for the State of California’s Bureau of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse. While with the State of California, she assisted in case preparation to the Grand Jury regarding Medi-Cal billing fraud for IUDs, resulting in an indictment.
