Jules Frederick Bonjour Jr

I had the privilege to be represented by Jules for a criminal charge. The charge carried 8 years of maximum jail time and other life-altering consequences and the defense did not have a strong case. However, after about a year of negotiations with the prosecutor and the judges, Jules was able to nego...tiate the sentence to 10-week weekend jail time and home confinement. He did an outstanding job to negotiate the case and achieve a favorable outcome. Even after the case was concluded, I've retained him to serve as an adviser for the probation period. My case was complicated: I was living out-of-state, the case involved serious potential immigration consequences, and we had to consider future post-conviction options. However, Jules was always in control. He and I held brainstorming sessions to discuss defense strategy and he was very receptive to my opinions. I can tell with confidence that Jules is a great decision maker and long-term strategist. He always gave the right decision so far. I've also experienced first-hand how respected he is in the Hayward court. He personally knows the prosecutors, judges and even clerks for a long time there and it was obvious that he has a really good reputation among them. I think at this point of his career, Jules is motivated by helping his clients and not for money. He really cares about how a conviction will affect the life and career of his client in the years the come and not just at the moment. He is a great lawyer and a very influential person.
