Marc Andrew Hearron

Marc founded Hearron PLLC to bring his depth of experience to clients and trial counsel who need a focused, senior advocate for the most consequential stage of a case.

He was previously a partner in the appellate and Supreme Court practice of a major international law firm in Washington, D.C., where he handled high-stakes appeals for Fortune 500 corporations and other businesses. His appeals spanned everything from bankruptcy to patent to pharmaceutical litigation, and he developed deep experience handling emergency motions on short notice.

He went on to lead complex constitutional litigation in the nonprofit sector as a senior litigator at the Center for Reproductive Rights, where his cases routinely made national headlines. In November 2021, he argued Whole Woman's Health v. Jackson before the Supreme Court of the United States — only ten days after the Court granted certiorari. After the Supreme Court's Dobbs decision, Marc developed and led a litigation strategy aimed at expanding the medical exceptions to state abortion bans. One of those cases, Zurawski v. Texas, became the subject of a feature documentary.

Marc has also served as senior counsel to the ranking member of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, leading the team of counsel advising on judicial nominations. He is a frequent legal commentator on national television and is regularly quoted in the country's leading publications.

Marc began his career as a law clerk on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas — experience that grounds his appellate work in a clear-eyed understanding of what persuades judges.
